During the Week
We try to gather together during the week to encourage one another. We have serveral families that get together on various evenings for discipling, training, and prayer. If you would like to find out about a gathering in your area of the Valley, just ask.
Some of the people who live near the church gather in the church fellowship hall on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Visitors are always welcome to join in this time of prayer, fellowship and Bible study. Refreshments are usually served
What to Expect at Our Services
We strive to maintain practices that are clear in the Bible. We sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs (Eph. 5:19, Col. 3:16). We do not have praise bands or large orchestras. We believe in expositional preaching through all of the Bible, including the passages that convict us of sin or that puncture our reliance upon ourselves. Our sermons are 40 to 50 minutes. We partake of the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month, and serve an open table (all believers in Christ are welcome to join us in proclaiming His death until He returns).
The Style of Our Worshippers
We are not particularly formal, but some of our members and attenders do dress up. We have no dress code or standard beyond the Biblical standards of modesty. If you want to wear jeans, a suit, slacks, or a Sunday dress, it is up to you.
Families in Our Services
We do provide a nursery for families with very young children. If you visit, feel free to request help. We also have Little Folks Training for kids who are not trained or able to stay with their families during the services. We would encourage families to attend service together, but recognize the realities that not all children are able to stay quiet (or even moderately behaved) for a whole service. If your family needs assistance or a "time-out" during the service, please let an usher know.
